I apologize for not updating as much as I intended to when getting back from the motherland!
Needless to say, it was beautiful.
I learned a lot, added on to my list of values & morals, and got to know where I come from in a more positive state- which is always reassuring.
It was a very, very, religious experience. Definitely needed.

For my month back in my home town, I ended up living a routine life style. Every day was the same, and having my mother out of town didn’t exactly help. I had no one to talk to since my dad and sister were both at work during majority of the day. Yet again, I had a lot of time to reflect, think, and make the necessary changes in improving the way I perceive life as a whole.

Now I’m back in Oakland (since my apartment lease is still up & having the honours of taking a “Topics of Bollywood” class at UC Berkeley to get some credits out of the way, and also learning a wee bit more about my heritage… through Bollywood films).
I took the chance of walking into a restaurant, “Khana Peena”, asking if they were hiring just because I thought it would be the right thing to do.
I ended up getting the job.
I swear 75% of the reason is me being Indian (understanding hindi was a plus, as well as pronouncing the dishes properly), the restaurant being an Indian restaurant, and the manager being Punjabi. Needless to say, he liked me and hired me right away. :)

This is a little description of what’s been going on right now. YAY.
